How to Setup Netgear ReadyNAS?
After you complete following these ReadyNAS setup instructions, your ReadyNAS device will be ready to use. The setup process takes 15-20 minutes.
Install hard disks that you want to use in your Netgear ReadyNAS.
Try to place your ReadyNAS system in an adequately ventilated location.
Connect the power adapter to the system and plug the power cord into an electric outlet.
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the ReadyNAS system to your home network.
Press the power button to turn on the ReadyNAS device.
Visit the Netgear NAS login web page from your computer connected to the same local home network as on your ReadyNAS system.
Enter the default login credentials of the Netgear ReadyNAS system. If you are not able to find the ReadyNAS default password, get in touch with our experts.
Hit the Discover button.
Now, click on the Setup button.
You can set up the ReadyNAS device as per your convenience. You can set up ReadyNAS as a default ReadyCLOUD system or can choose Offline Installation (Advanced).
Once the setup process is complete, you can use your ReadyNAS storage system.
Important Note: If your computer is not connected to the Internet, download and install the RAIDar utility software. RAIDar application allows you to transfer the downloaded files to the computer on the same LAN as of your Netgear ReadyNAS system.
